What did I learn yesterday (embrace the climb)
What did I learn yesterday (embrace the climb)
I believe that too many of us are in a rush to the goal, to the end, at the expense of the climb and ironically we never make the goal. You see we have to embrace the climb and understand that with out embracing and appreciating the climb, you will not achieve the desired results. The main reason: you will give up or continue climbing using the wrong tools and just for a want of better words; continue chasing your tail or going around in circles.
Take it from me someone that struggles each day with controlling himself and makes mistakes and complains and is hot tempered. The reason for this is because this is what I have always done and yes you guessed it. I have failed to progress in many areas of life. Why because I have lacked the self awareness to see what I was doing.
Of course, now things are changing as I am continuously invested in myself and in my self development. Therefore I am becoming more self aware and starting to see the negative patterns that have been blocking me advancing in many areas of my life. As a result of seeing these patterns I am now in the process of correcting these patterns.
I am continuously listening to Audio books on self development at the moment I am listening to “The Magic of Thinking Big” David J Schwartz Audio Book and How to Win Friends And Influence People Full 1. So guys just go to YouTube and paste the headings in and start listening.
Allied to this, I am reading “Personal Development all in one for Dummies”.I am also reading “Money Master the Game 7 simple steps to financial freedom” by Tony Robbins and “If it is not impossible the life of Nicholas Winton”.
So I suggest, you investigate these books above. Also or course I am listening to people like Grant Cordone for sales, business and motivation. I listen to Dr Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Brendon Burchard and John Assaraf. Yesterday I signed up to Tai Lopez’s 67 steps which I find to be fascinating and I will report on this in the coming weeks.
Why all this you ask, well I have big goals but I was struggling with the climb the endeavor and feeling sorry for myself. So I needed help on the climb with the journey, however you want to describe it.
The reality is everybody needs help and there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Something that I was always trying to do.
This thinking and these actions were not smart, as the truth is to progress and to move forward you need mentors, you need teachers, you need to use their experiences to take the short cut to success.
Also we must not forget to be happy in the moment and enjoy the climb and what I do now, each time something small or big goes wrong: I smile now and say that’s the climb and embrace it.
You see once you achieve the desired results, its the climb the obstacles you have overcome that will make you credible and most importantly; you will be able to empathize and mentor who comes after you.
So guys that’s what I learned yesterday “embrace the climb”
