Overcome all hurdles and become the Successes of All Time

Overcome all hurdles and become the Successes of All Time

As I write this heading of the article that will be having various series talking about the time (bad and good) the successful people passed through, before they became who they are now.

We are dedicated to personal development, which of course is dedicated into development of a person into the fullest potentials the one can have.

Hence here is a place where we will be bringing all personalities we think can change us, the people who have passed through difficult challenges are our target now, as their success gives us more power, more understanding and rebirth of our strength we were born with.

We have all over the world, as we do not want to invent the wheel now, it’s clear that what we need to hear from the successful ones, who tell us that it’s possible. I know everyone was born with their strength, but we have been losing it when it comes to real life, and that can be attributed to lack of clear focus, lack of clear plan, lack of motivation, lack of support, lack of required knowledge and skills, lack of mentors and of course it might well be lack of resources including people who are devoted to help you step by step to exploit your full potentials.

We are not talking about the failure to give us the understanding that we should not do what made them fail at first point, the environment differs and so is the timing, we just want to learn that irrespective of hard it was, they never said, okay this is enough of fighting, I surrender, Instead they said the war is not over if I have not won.

This is what we are here for,  we know they had to sacrifice certain things to get where they are now and we envy them. Irrespective of how other people thought of them, they kept their focus on their goals, and here they are now.

So this will not leave a stone unturned, will talk about every element we see is important to develop a person, to give a person a reason of not declaring to themselves that something is impossible to them.

  1. Oprah Gail Winfrey

I have heard people say, “I want to be successful like Oprah” That’s fantastic, but few people understand what it took for Oprah to be successful, she survived  major challenges including sexual assault  before she made the list of one of the richest and influential women on the planet.

Its true that she is one of the richest people in the world, but her life did not start out privileged as one might think.

Oprah was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, and what you won’t believe, her name was meant to be  Orpah, but it became Oprah because of misspelling on her birth certificate. She lived with a single parent, Vernita Lee her mother, was a housemaid who was not married, and her father is unknown. They had a tough life, where her mother could work countless hours at least to keep the dinner on table.

Their life was a mess, her poor mother struggled hard to feed the family, and when it was too tough to take it, Oprah was sent to the man named Vernon in 1962, the man Oprah’s mother though was her daughter’s biological father.

It wasn’t easy for the girl with such history to make it as one of the successful people on the globe. Oprah had been sexually abused since she was 9 years old, she had no one to share this with, as she never lived with the proper family and within her community no one could trust what she had to say, only they knew she had a baby at 14 years old and unfortunately the baby died soon after birth.

Through all the hardships she continued trying, eventually she became a radio presenter.  The Oprah Winfrey Show, aired the first episode on September 6, 1986, she had moved stations fighting for her destiny. She is now one of the wealthiest women on the globe, supporting the world fight harassment of any kind and helping the kids as she has no any kid of herself.

Oprah’s annual salary is around $223 million dollars. She earns money from her various businesses as well as television shows.

Key Quotes we can take from Oprah

  • The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
  • Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
  • The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.

What we learn here,

We all in different times will go through difficult times, now we do envy Oprah as we read her story, but in truth it was not easy for her to be successful, we need strong determination to get what we need, we need to believe and dream, allied with solid goals that are measurable and attainable.

Sir Richard Branson

The widely known entrepreneur of our era, a real entrepreneur minded young boy the world has ever seen.

Dropping the school in 1966 aged 16, and starting his magazine (The Student) business was not an easy decision, and of course it involved self-belief, hard work and lots of learning to that is required to build a person.

As he had poor academic performance as a student, on his last day when he was in school, his headmaster told him the way he sees him, he will either end up being in a jail or become a millionaire, Branson took the last option.

He was one of the young boys that needed much support, as he had dyslexia, but he had to fight hard and overcome fears of dyslexia that he could keep working hard, publish his magazine and sell it, only at 16 as there was no other choice for him. He overcome his battle of dyslexia and made a great deal in his magazine publishing business.

He went through various businesses, different failures, but he held one strong belief, if someone can be successful, so can he.

If now you are reading this and thinking on how you can start your own business or expand your existing business, take one lesson from Sir Richard, to be able to make more money requires discipline, sacrifice and closing all the alternative options, till you believe you will be successful in business irrespective of what you take.

It doesn’t entirely need to start with big capital to be successful, if it was, the world’s billionaires would be the only sons of millionaires of last century.

If I have business today, and I know its weather I win or die, I can assure you I will be successful, and so can anyone, from his The Student Magazine, to his now advanced record studio that later named Virgin, the name that was suggested by one of his early partner and employee because they were all new in business, Branson made thousands of pounds before he was 25, to be able to own his record label known as Virgin Records, which later went on to sign artists and  band of the time, Sex Pistols that made him great fortunes later.

In his autobiography, on the decision of investing and starting an airline company, Virgin, Branson wrote “My interest in life comes from setting myself huge, apparently unachievable challenges and trying to rise above them … from the perspective of wanting to live life to the full, I felt that I had to attempt it.”

His Quotes to help us with daily ventures includes:

  • Business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.
  • You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.
  • A business has to be involving, it has to be fun, and it has to exercise your creative instincts.

As I write this today, His Virgin Group Empire now includes 200 companies in 30 countries, spanning airlines, music festivals, mobile companies and other businesses. He also two private Caribbean islands, Necker and Mosquito

The rest was continuous efforts in learning and trying and failing. But look the small boy who was born in the farm with no technical background, changed the world by inventing the automobile that normal people could afford, he changed the world.

At the age of 68 years, Henry Ford had taken his company to be the biggest multinational company and was manufacturing one third of all world’s automobiles. The company set up numerous subsidiaries that assembled and/sold Ford Cars and Trucks.
